Saudi Gazette – The disappearance of the two sixth-grade girl students from an elementary school in Al-Bawadi district in Jeddah on Sunday happened after the school hours, the department of education here said in a statement on Monday.
Spokesman of the department, Abdul Majeed Al-Ghamdi, said the case is now in the hands of the concerned security organs.
He said the school management confirmed the presence of the two girls in the school until the seventh class signaling the end of the school day.
The spokesman said the two missing girls disappeared from the school at the end of the school hours but left their bags in their classroom.
Al-Ghamdi dismissed the idea that the two students might have escaped through the back door.
“The school’s back door is kept closed all the time but is only opened to receive the students who come for the evening classes,” he said.
