Arab News – The Ministry of Interior has won an award for the best film on countering terrorism at an event in Tunisia recently.
The competition was organized by the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers’ Council on how terror groups operate, buy arms and recruit young people through social media.
The award was received by the Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Othman bin Nasser Almihrij at the 39th Conference of Arab Police and Security Chiefs at the headquarters of the secretariat.
The winning film reviewed the modern technology and expertise harnessed by the government under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the crown prince and deputy crown prince. The film highlighted some of the security procedures adopted by the various law enforcement agencies to combat organized crime and terrorism.
Another documentary film was screened on the sidelines of the conference on the efforts of the security forces inside the Kingdom to serve the community and the guests of God during Haj.
