Arab News – The General Directorate of Traffic recorded around 40,000 traffic violations and booked 732 vehicles for violating traffic laws during National Day celebrations across the Kingdom.
Spokesman for the directorate Col. Tariq Al-Rubaiaan said traffic police around the Kingdom recorded a variety of violations on the National Day. There were 27,443 violations and traffic tickets were handed to drivers, including tickets for speeding; illegal parking; halting traffic movement; running the red light; tinting windows; not wearing seat belts; using cell phones while driving; driving in the wrong direction; driving without a license; and absence of a license plate.
