Saudi Gazette – Mobile sales and mobile repair training programs for beneficiaries of charity organizations will now be offered by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), Al-Madina newspaper reported.

TVTC spokesman Fahd Al-Otaibi said the corporation works with several charity organizations to provide training programs for their subscribers.

“The programs aim to support the decision to Saudize the telecommunication sector and to offer charity organization subscribers with job opportunities. The programs are applied all over the Kingdom to raise the skills set of charity recipients,” Al-Otaibi said.

He also said the corporation currently offers its training programs at more than 100 colleges across the Kingdom.

“The charity organizations approached the corporation requesting training programs to be offered to their beneficiaries. The charity organizations are aware that the telecommunication sector is currently hiring Saudis and aim to offer employment opportunities to the charity recipients to help them become self-reliant,” he said.

At least 30,000 participants in training programs have graduated since the beginning of the programs.

“The programs offered are basic mobile repair, advanced mobile repair, sales management and customer service. The graduates receive an accredited certificate from the corporation. There are currently 20,000 participants undertaking the training programs,” he said.

He also said the applicants to training programs must be Saudi citizens over the age of 18 with a valid ID and not currently employed in the private or public sector.
