Arab News – Saudi universities across the Kingdom are currently holding lectures and seminars in collaboration with Prince Mohammed bin Naif Counseling and Care Center.
The lectures are delivered by former beneficiaries of the center’s services and aim to confront extremist thoughts.
Hail University recently hosted an awareness seminar in this regard, addressed by a repentant extremist who frankly recounted his story with extremist thoughts. He said his experience included death threats when he refused to expiate and redress members of his family and some government officials.
The experience of the repentant, who benefited from Prince Mohammed bin Naif Counseling and Care Center, is not one of its kind.
Since its opening in 2004, the center has organized more than 150,000 counseling sessions delivered by experts and specialists who addressed doubts concerning Shariah issues.
Nowadays, Saudi universities play a pivotal role in confronting extremist thoughts by holding awareness seminars and hosting experts from outside the Kingdom to meet male and female students.
